There’s a program administered by the National Government called ‘Sporting Schools’ that provide a coaching opportunity for members of our community to coach in schools that have registered table-tennis as their preferred sport. Interested coaches must have a ‘Working with Children Check’ that’s current. They’ll need to register as a coach in Sporting Schools website. After registering, they need to be accredited by TTA as an endorsed coach to be able to get paid. Unless they are a minimum Level 1 accredited coach, they cannot coach in these schools until they do a TOPS course which will be run by Alois at MSAC on the following dates below:
Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Albert Park (MSAC)
3 & 4th October (Pls note :This is the day of the AFL Grand final and the following day) 16th, 17th,18th and 23rd October (16th & 23rd are Fridays, it may suit some teachers as they can use it as Professional Development days)
Please indicate which of these days would suit at MSAC. I would prefer to have the sessions here as it is central and we may have problems logistically if we look at having it at local clubs. At this stage, the cost for the course is still being arranged as we need to make sure we cover presenter’s fees, manuals, accreditation fee ,table hire, etc. Please advise availability times. The course would take about 7 hours and completed in a day.

Hi all, further information to the email I sent previously regarding the Sporting Schools Program:
Table-tennis Victoria will be the administrator of all coaches in Victoria. This means that every school that would require a coach would be required to contact TTV and in turn TTV would arrange a suitable coach to deliver the program to that school.
